Nursing is a work of heart… it is science & art. biology & so many caring stories of grit and grace. I’ve been thinking deeply about our nursing narratives. Writing and releasing my book, A Nightingale’s Song…Nursing Notes to Gentle the Journey Through Serious Illness, created such a reflective, meaning-filled, healing chapter in my life and work. I am a true believer in the power of nursing stories to educate, advocate, and mend our broken spaces.
I am presenting at 2 upcoming conferences on the healing power of nursing narratives. The first in the 2024 National Symposium for Academic Palliative Care Education & Research sponsored by CSUSM this week in San Diego. The next will be at the National Nursing Ethics Conference in April in LA- will post details soon. More to come in the weeks ahead!
